Lease Law & Real Estate
Liesbeth specialises in civil real estate law, with a strong focus on commercial lease law. She advises on matters including entering into, reviewing, renewing and terminating lease agreements, rent reviews, defects and renovations. She also has extensive experience in litigation involving lease law disputes.

Liesbeth has worked extensively for large retailers operating throughout the Netherlands, while also advising landlords and institutional and other investors. As a result, she has a thorough understanding of the interests on both sides of the table. In addition to lease law, she has extensive experience with real estate-related contractual matters. She has also regularly assisted with due diligence investigations in connection with mergers and acquisitions, with a particular focus on reviewing lease agreements.

Flexible Legal Support
Liesbeth works with Law&Pepper Advocaten as an interim legal counsel, providing flexible support to the team. With many years of experience, she can step in quickly whenever additional legal capacity is required, for example during large-scale projects, periods of increased workload or unexpected absences.

Career
Liesbeth studied Dutch law at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. After graduating, she began her career as a legal counsel at a real estate and investment firm in Amsterdam. There, she gained broad practical experience in the leasing and sale of residential and commercial property, negotiating and drafting lease agreements, and conducting proceedings before the subdistrict court. During this period, she also obtained her qualification as a real estate agent.

From 2001 onwards, Liesbeth practised as a lawyer and further specialised in civil real estate law. She spent most of her career as a lawyer at BOEKEL in Amsterdam, where she was part of the real estate practice. Liesbeth no longer practises as a lawyer and now draws on her extensive knowledge and experience in her role as interim legal counsel.
